One of the things I do to occupy my time while travelling is surf OKCupid for my highest matches/enemies in the random places I go through. I just searched for highest match in a metro area with a population around 6 million people, and my highest match is still lower than my match with a close platonic friend/roommate in my town of about 70 thousand people.
