If you feel a mosquito land on you, you shouldn't kill it, just flick it off of yourself. The way I see it, if it's lost the evolutionary advantage of not being detected, then it's much more likely to have offspring that also lack this evolutionary advantage. It's natural selection failing to naturally select!
