Deodorant

Deodorant should be renamed. Lets break it up de-odor-and "de-" means to reduce or remove. (Cambridge dictionary) Odor is pretty self explanitory "-ant" means preforming or causing the standard action
Now if deodor was a word it would make sense because then it would be the action of deodorizing BUT it's not a word.
Or i there was a logic rule that applied to the application of prefixes prior to suffixes (like in math where there is an order of operations) but I don't believe there is.
Furthermore, If you are arm pit smelly then de-odor-ant should reduce the odor but I dont think it works that way... It should actually be pre-oder-ant or something of that sort
anti-oder-ant maybe ... dunno
