Illness

They once told me that the illness was a mind-boggling state of depression before it became a disorder. Much like hitting your hand with a toffee hammer goes from lunacy to what seemed like a good idea at the time.

I'd say it was a blessing and a curse, but sometimes I can't help but wonder if the architects of the English language got those all wrong.
