Pointlessness

My hopes were dashed again tonight. I've heard of "try and try again" but this is getting ridiculous. When do you keep going and when do you just realize you are banging your head against a brick wall?

I see such possibility and greatness in people... it leads to much disappointment when they don't live up to their capabilities. Occasionally I'll meet one who does, and give away my heart too soon. Seemingly, inevitably my heart is broken.

If you're a betting person, you place your bets on the 'winner' and let everything else slide into oblivion (including the future) but if you're a loving and honest person you invest in the people and things you believe in, entrusting that it will make the world a better place.

Love makes everything bearable. Why is it so hard for some of us to find?
