The News, part II

I'm waiting for today's paper I want to know what's happening I like to read the headlines… But the columns are just too long-winded

So I turn on the news Sit in my easy chair And visualize a depressive trance Structure the gory events Then wish I hadn't listened Wished they had some good news to tell Some Good News

So I turn on the stereo And slip inside the sleeve of a tune Wanting to match the length Wanting to create some myself

So I pull out some blank paper And a pen And I'm waiting for today's paper I want to know what's happening I like to read the headlines…
