I try so hard not to be a bitch. I try even harder to not get that look I get when I think out loud with the said look, "are you fucking serious right now, did you really just say or do that". Rewind to Friday, I am in my workspace with the door shut and in comes new neighbor to the left. I think she is a franctic woman always just from what I have witnessed. I take that into consideration the first three times she has displayed an attitude towards me. Two times in the same evening was over the elevator that she apparently cannot figure out! Back to Friday, I was really concentrating on an application I was filling out. I was so tired I had been there like 15 hours at that point and I was getting close to being done and she comes in loud AF!!!!! With her news radio on BLAST! She takes her phone which is blasting the bullshit and lies because that is what it is and puts in her studio and walks back out and leaves. I was like why why why???? She comes back in and I get up and open my door and she could tell by the above said look I was irritated. She said is that bothering you.....kindly I replied that I was a bit distracted by it but I was doing a few things on my laptop and I would be leaving shortly. She said in a smart ass tone....."Well I would hate to bother you" I was like whatever. I finished and I left.

Today I come in a little earlier than normal. I came in and not a human in sight but guess what was......the damn news radio. For 23 minutes she was downstairs while that rhetoric was on blast again! I do NOT watch tv at all. Especially the news. It is part of the problem in our country. If I want to know something I read or I will watch the news from Australia. I feel like if it is that big of a deal they will know about it and report on it without bias. In she comes and does not even bother to turn it down. So I thought mmmmmmk let me see how long I can do this. I made it 90 minutes total. in 90 minutes I heard the same shit three times and it was all bad news. The third time I heard about the 4 Palestinian Children dying I thought that is enough. Then my immediate thought after was this is exactly why you are in there having an entire ass conversation with yourself and yes she answers!!!!!!!!!!!! How in the actual fuck can you listen to that shit and ever have one ounce of anything positive inside your brain. I get wanting to stay informed but damn........I guess I am confused why she thought anyone else wanted to hear that. I come here to not have to listen to people talk about the bullshit and lies that happen daily on the news! Jesus, fix it!!!!!!!!

Thought "Damn, that happened yesterday! But what's happening today?"
And I wondered what IS happening today? I looked around at the world but couldn't come up with a catchy headline.

I'm waiting for today's paper
I want to know what's happening
I like to read the headlines…
But the columns are just too long-winded

So I turn on the news
Sit in my easy chair
And visualize a depressive trance
Structure the gory events
Then wish I hadn't listened
Wished they had some good news to tell
Some Good News

So I turn on the stereo
And slip inside the sleeve of a tune
Wanting to match the length
Wanting to create some myself

So I pull out some blank paper
And a pen
And I'm waiting for today's paper
I want to know what's happening
I like to read the headlines…
