Stairs

Ever since I was little, I've gotten this strange rush when I ascend stairs in people's houses, like suddenly there's an invisible person chasing me with hostile intent. The invisible force chases me faster and seems more hostile the faster I run up the stairs.

you know that feeling you get when you're walking down stairs and you think there's one less stair than there really is?

it SUCKS! you feel like you're about to die in a split-second of pure terror. how would you describe this feeling? it's like a mini-simulation of what it'd be like to fall into a bottomless pit.
