Down

What goes up, comes down. Inevitably.

Deeply down and depressed, in the emotional dumps and too bone-weary to even dare dream of flying.

Tomorrow I'm heading down to see a great, large group of my friends for the weekend and I'm very much looking forward to it. We'll end up sleeping out in a barn in respective locations or in the house, or, weather permitting, in the yard. It's always so much fun and last year there was much drinking to be had... but this year not so much due to local troubles.

I just want to have a nice time with them...

I want to be able to leave the place knowing that I truly enjoyed myself for the last time this summer with these kids before we all go our separate ways to college, back to college, to work, to another country, whatever.
