Reflections in a child's teary eyes Of test missiles that fill blue skies Wait, that's just the glaze of apathy Learned from mommy's new big screen TV
Teenager with a head full of dreams She's going to hush the world's silent screams Gave some head and loved the attention Now she's too busy for all the world's tensions
Let's get away, not wait and stagnate Let's break this town, collaborate and instigate All the schools teach selfishness and how to hate We'll shake each one down
Now's she's older and writes hit love songs Sings the things she looked for all along She makes millions and gives it away Her charity feeds three kids a day
The rest of it hits pocketbooks of CEO's, and corporate slime fills the trough of new wave G.I Joes Wait, that's our little men, still out playing cowboys Look, there's our little girls still working hard to buy new toys Low cut shirts, high heal shoes, and lipstick to play dress-up Painting on their Geisha face, don't know if they're real or made up
Let's get away, not wait and stagnate Let's break this town, collaborate and instigate All the schools teach selfishness and how to hate We'll shake each one down
Will probably add to this later. My train of rhyme broke. I also encourage other people to add to it if they're so inclined. Gooo collaborative writing!
We've got to hurry, have you looked at this town? Awake from your dream of shaking it down Revolutions change nothing but who fucks whom Not that I'm trying to be a sayer of doom
These changes you want, you lust for, you need You're not alone, but to want it all NOW is greed The best way to affect change is to do it so slow That no one has time to notice, no one knows
Small daily efforts show so much more commitment Than one huge puff, and then, nothing else about it I'm not trying to be offensive, we're on the same side. Just sit back, do what you can, and try to enjoy the ride.
